PROCHARGER CHAMPION: JOHN URIST
Coming off his May 18th Street Outlaw win at World Street Challenge 1, John Urist recently locked up his fourth NMRA Super Street Outlaw season championship. Four time SSO champ Urist drives a red ‘93 Mustang powered by a 440 cid SBF with an F-3R-139 ProCharger supercharger. This beast makes over 1,800 horsepower on 30+ psi of boost and ran consistent 7.40’s and 7.50’s all season.
Urist ended the points race 745 points ahead of the nearest non-ProCharged competitor. Second place finisher, and fellow ProCharger racer, AJ Powell gave Urist a run for his money throughout the entire season. Both of these SSO competitors showed the consistent and reliable power of a ProCharger supercharger with their first and second place 2008 NMRA Super Street Outlaw finishes.
