PROCHARGED “NOTORIOUS” NOVA WINS MUSCLE MACHINE OF THE YEAR

Rad Rides by Troy is famous for their over-the-top, high-horsepower creations, and the car they constructed for Gary Abraham is a perfect example.

Equipped with a 572 cu.in. big block Chevy and Big Stuff 3 fuel injection, the custom black-powder coated ProCharger F-2R supercharger helps the monster Nova crank out more than 1,100 HP on E-85 fuel. The Notorious Nova also features a Detroit Speed Quadralink suspension, Baer 14.5” Brakes, 18-inch custom Billet Specialties wheels and a built GM 4L80E transmission.

Abraham’s 1970 Nova “Notorious” was selected as the 2008 Goodguys Muscle Machine of the Year award winner. Muscle Machine of the Year finalists were selected throughout the year at various Goodguys shows across the country, with the overall winner being announced at the Scottsdale event.

Over the course of the show season, Notorious also pulled down additional awards, including; Outstanding Engineered; Outstanding Engine; Outstanding Interior; and Outstanding Street Machine.

Congratulations to Gary Abraham and Rad Rides by Troy for building such an outstanding combination of performance, quality and ProCharger muscle. Read More about Notorious here and be on the lookout for a full feature on the supercharged car in a future issue of Popular Hot Rodding magazine.
