PROCHARGED RACERS START THE NHRA SEASON STRONG AT THE 57TH ANNUAL GATORNATIONALS
The 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season roared to life at the 57th Annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, held March 5–8 at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida. The historic event marked the official kickoff of NHRA’s 75th anniversary season, drawing a capacity crowd of fans eager to see the fastest machines in drag racing return to the strip.
Among the standout performances of the weekend were several ProCharged race teams, who demonstrated once again why centrifugal superchargers remain a dominant force in professional drag racing.
PROCHARGED CAMARO SETS THE PACE IN PRO MOD

One of the most exciting storylines of the weekend came in the NHRA Pro Mod class, where Lyle Barnett piloted Billy Banaka’s ProCharged Camaro to the quickest and fastest runs in eliminations until he, unfortunately, red lit in the finals.
Barnett’s impressive performance throughout qualifying and eliminations, consistently running at the front of the field, proved the performance potential of the car was unmistakable. And the Camaro’s speed highlighted the continued strength of ProCharger-powered Pro Mod combinations.
UPDATED PROCHARGER RACE BLOWERS SHOW EARLY SUCCESS

The strong showing at Gainesville also demonstrated the effectiveness of ProCharger’s updated race blower designs, which have been making their way into more competitive race programs this season.
Early results indicate the improvements are working exactly as intended. Across multiple teams and classes, ProCharged racers have been consistently qualifying at the top of the field, showing strong performance, reliability, and repeatability under demanding race conditions.
As the 2026 season progresses, these updates are expected to continue helping teams push the limits of performance across several sanctioning bodies and racing classes.
EARLY SEASON MOMENTUM CONTINUES

The Gatornationals were only the beginning of what is shaping up to be another strong season for ProCharged race teams.
Across multiple series and classes, ProCharged racers have already been racking up wins, runner ups, and #1 qualifiers. The growing list of victories demonstrates the continued competitiveness of ProCharger supercharger technology across the sport.
