Modifications and Additional Specs:
Our UK friends at Top Speed Automotive (ww.topspeedautomotive.com) sent us a 2017 Challenger with a ProCharger P-1SC, and included this 1969 Camaro all-steel, street-legal hot rod that drives to the track and runs low-8s on 97-octane pump gas, with a best pass of 8.11 at 169mph on 19 psi boost. Weight is 3,700 lbs. The car has a 454ci big-block with a Dart block, AFR heads, a 990cfm blow-through carb and a Chissled Performance air-to-water intercooler. The floor pans are stock, as is the front suspension, with a 9-inch rear on ladder bars and carrying 3.89:1 gears. It runs drag radials or big tires, and they’ve had the car for 15 years and say “you can drive it anywhere under any conditions.”
