ANOTHER WEEKEND OF SUPERCHARGED RACING SUCCESS!

RACING SEASON IS IN FULL SWING!

If you love drag racing you already know this is when all the winter projects stop, and it’t time to hit the track. With so many events happening these days, and many of them being covered live via the Internet, it’s almost hard to pick which event to watch.  Even as we started writing this blog we were torn between watching all of the ProCharger supercharged Top Dragsters doing battle in Tulsa at the PDRA race, and the race down in Memphis known as the Outlaw Streetcar Reunion.  However with these races now wrapped up, we need to talk about the (5) wins recently by ProCharger racers, (3)Runner up, (6) Number 1 Qualifers, and (4) records set by our racers as well.  So without more delay, let’s jump into the wins!

RECENT WINS BY PROCHARGER POWERED RACERS:

EVENT: NMCA – Bradenton
DRIVER: Jarod Wenrick
PROCHARGER: F-1X-12 Supercharger
CLASS: Street Outlaw

We had to start this blog win list off with Jarod, and his first event win with his brand new car! Some of you might have seen this car on the internet (HERE) and can understand that this car not only can run the number, but looks like a show car doing it.  Without a doubt one of the best looking rides around, and a truly class act owner/driver/team.  Congrats on the win from all of us here in the office!  For those that didn’t catch this race, you MIGHT want to click on this video HERE.   Jarod with the 4.50 vs. fellow ProCharger supercharged racer Phil Hines with a 4.51.  Now THAT is what we call a drag race!

EVENT: NMRA – Bradenton
DRIVER: Alton Clements
PROCHARGER: F-1A-94 Supercharger
CLASS: Renegade

Alton had an outstanding season in 2015, running at the top of the Renegade class all year and finishing a close second in the points race. So it came as no surprise that he would come out strong in 2016.  Kicking the year off with a WIN is a great way to get a season underway.  We look forward to what the Clements have in store for this year for sure!  Congrats Alton on your win.

EVENT: Outlaw Street Car Reunion – Memphis
DRIVER: Dale Arbogast
PROCHARGER: F-3R-136 Supercharger (with reducer)
CLASS: Leaf Spring

In our last racing blog we said, “We look forward to seeing more of this machine” after Dale had just wrapped up getting the Runner up spot at Lights out 7.  Well he delivered and takes home the big WIN at his next event!  Dales blacked out Nova did the ultimate trifecta this weekend with the #1 qualifier, the class record, and the WIN! If you want to see a video of this final pass, just click HERE.  We wish Dale, his family and crew a huge congratulations from everyone at ProCharger.

EVENT: Gator Nationals – Gainesville
DRIVER: Jeff Strickland
PROCHARGER: F-2 Supercharger
CLASS: Top Dragster

Bringing home his second win of the 2016 season back to back in the top dragster class, Jeff Strickland is on a roll with this F-2 powered machine.  Jeff was also honored by being one of only 20 people in the 60-year history of the NHRA to win two NHRA classes at this event. (Top Dragster and Stock) We are looking forward to seeing Jeff’s results for the rest of this season.  Congrats to Jeff and his family and crew!

EVENT: Phoenix Nationals – Chandler AZ
DRIVER: Bobby Ray McMahan
PROCHARGER: F-2 Supercharger
CLASS: Top Dragster

Almost on the other side of the country from the Dragster listed above Bobby Ray was taking home the win in Arizona.  We want to congratulate Bobby and his crew on their win!

AND NOW FOR THE RECORD BOOKS:

With ProCharger racers resetting the records already this year, it is just proof in how much work each time puts in during the “off season”.  We are proud to be the power adder of choice to help make this happen.  Starting off the records section with Joe Guertin and his honor of now being the “first in the 7’s” for the highly competitive coyote modified class.  (For a Video of his pass please click HERE)  It seems every time we mention Phil Hines name its either a win, runner up, record or championship, so the NMRA weekend was no different for this veteran.  Adam Arndt, and Dale Arbogast also came out of the gate strong in these recent events, and lowered the mark for their classes.  These cars will be ones to watch as more events unfold this season.  Congrats to all of the drivers, and teams!

MOTHER NATURE ADDS DELAY:

We can’t really wrap up this racing blog update, because mother nature has decided to delay TWO events this past weekend.

The PDRA race in Tulsa OK, where ProCharger racer Andy Johnson took home the #1 qualifying spot was delayed due to the extremely cold weather that rolled in.  This event will roll over to the next race for many of those racers still in the hunt.

The second event that mother nature decided not to play nice with was the OSCR race in Memphis.  At this event before the rain let loose, ProCharger racer Dale Arbogast had already finished his final round with a win.  However many classes had to split the pot up, due to not being able to finish.  Due to that pot split there are no “official” winners or runners up from this event.  24+ ProCharger racers were on the property for this event, with many of them still in the hunt for class wins, as well as more records!

Again, from all of us here at ProCharger we want to thank ALL of our racers and the accomplishments already this season! For any more questions or comments please feel free to contact us at the following
