MORE PROCHARGER / LIGHTS OUT IV RACING NEWS

With so much ProCharger action happening this year at South Georgia Motorsports Park’s Lights Out IV competition, we couldn’t begin to cover it all in the last blog.  This time we’re highlighting the ProCharger-powered racing results from the Outlaw Drag Radial class, Radial vs. The World, and Outlaw 10.5 classes.

ProCharger customers Enzo Pecchini and Steve Jackson recently teamed up to tune a custom radical engine for Enzo’s supercharged Mustang and achieved some nice first time out results with a win in a preliminary race of Radial vs. The World class, followed by an impressive 4.37 @ 179 mph in a later run. It’s great to see 2 ProCharger racers team up on projects, and we wish you both much success this season.

The well-renowned engine builder and ProCharger racer Steve Morris and his 93 Caprice Wagon, equipped with a ProCharger F-3R-139, not only raced in the Radial vs. The World class, but also in the Outlaw Drag Radial class.  As seen below, Steve is frequently in demand for interviews as well as making headlines and racing news for his huge horsepower engines.  Way to go Steve!

There were a total of 6 ProCharger-powered racers running in the Outlaw Drag Radial class – What a great supercharger showing! In addition to Steve Morris, Randy Darocy traveled all the way from Canada with his ProCharged Mustang GT, equipped with an F-3R-136, and ran a 4.88 @ 155 mph for the first time out with this car.  Also running in the Outlaw Drag Radial class was Scott Bitzer and his ProCharged 81 Malibu.  Scott ran a time of 4.68 for his weekend best.

ProCharger racer Bryan Marrow with his 79 Camaro, equipped with an F-3R-136, also ran in the Outlaw Drag Radial, and was a #6 qualifier with a time of 4.64 @ 158, as did Jason Rueckert with his F-3R-136-equipped Cutlass, seen below with ProCharger’s Sergio Shifman.  Jason qualified #3 with a 4.48 @ 164 mph–his fastest run of the week, and then faced Chad Opaleski with his F-3R-136-equipped Chevelle; again 2 ProCharger-powered racers facing off.  Congratulations to both ProCharger racers, it was a great race to watch!

Two more ProCharger-powered racers deserving recognition were Troy Blake and Mark Swanson.  Both Troy and Mark ran their ProCharged Camaros in the Outlaw 10.5 class, with Blake qualifying #4 with a time of 5.08 @ 111 mph and Swanson hitting a 4.60 in his first round.  Great job guys!

A total of 19 ProCharger-powered racers arrived in force at South Georgia Motorsports Park, despite all the forecasted rain.  But Mother Nature didn’t stop Donald Long “Duck”, SGMP Race Organizer, from putting on another great event to kick off the racing season. Thanks again Donald for always putting on an awesome race event and thanks to all ProCharger customers for making it a great event!

Stay tuned for more ProCharger highlights and racing results from the NMRA season opener this past weekend.  ProCharger is also looking forward to the NMCA opener later this month, and are expecting to see a lot of ProCharger customers competing at this event.
