A WEEKEND IN THE LIFE OF A DRAG RACER

It is an exciting show when a racer can get his team and his car to the track and down the strip safely while winning races. But there is a lot more that goes into getting that car down the track than a splash of fuel in the pits, a check of the tire pressure, and getting in the groove on the starting line.

ProCharger supercharged racer AJ Powell was recently asked by StangTV to put together a blog about his experiences at a few races. Powell is currently in second place in the points race in the NMRA Super Street Outlaw class, trailing another ProCharger racer and 2007 champ John Urist by only 50 points! Powell is a great representation of the quality and character of racers that ProCharger works with and is an excellent candidate to help the public get a feel for what one of the top racers in the class goes through, from leaving his home at dawn for the 14 hour drive to the track to crossing the finish line in 7.4 seconds and at over 189 MPH.

Click the link below to be directed to the StangTV website where you will find two entries by Powell outlining his experience at two of this year’s races.
