Your ProCharger system is engineered to provide a specific boost level to provide a performance increase without stressing your vehicle's engine or risking detonation. Achieving the pre-determined boost level is essential to realizing your performance goals. That said, also keep in mind that reliable horsepower gains, not boost levels, are the bottom line. Because intercooled boost is far more dense and powerful than non-intercooled boost, boost comparisons are not always representative of power gains. For example, 8 psi of intercooled boost will typically create as much or more power than 12 psi of boost without an intercooler, with better engine reliability as well. A series of questions will be asked to determine what factors may be keeping you from achieving the proper amount of boost. The ProCharger troubleshooter assumes that your vehicle's engine is in perfect operating order as the original manufacturer intended. More advanced installation questions should be referred to your owner's manual that came with the system, your ProCharger dealer or ProCharger Technical Services. |
