Doug Mangrum is the #2 qualifier at Dallas and posts a best of 7.41 @ 187 while fighting clutch problems. Congratulations to Doug and his team for a great season after recently switching to ProCharger. Also at Dallas, Chris Derrick wraps up a terrific season by kicking the Outlaw habit for a weekend and running a 7.73 in Pro 5.0 class, while Joe Robinson wins the 2000 Fun Ford Street Outlaw championship. Hats off to Chris and Joe for their outstanding seasons in Street Outlaw. |

At Atlanta, Joel Greathouse is the NMCA Super Street Champion for the 2000 season. Congratulations to Joel, Young's Performance and Bennet Racing for a great season and this well-deserved championship. Greg Blevins also runs strong in Atlanta, posting a 7.59 @ 186 mph with his new Super Street Mustang.

At the NSCA event in Michigan, Mark Enwia becomes the first F-Body in the 7's, running a 7.94 @183 mph. On October 7, Mark improves upon this effort with a 7.80 in Atlanta. Congratulations to Mark and Fast Times Racing. |

The Pro 5.0 semi-finals at the Fun Ford event at Cordova delivers a memorable matchup of 2 ProCharged Mustangs, with Jim Summers squaring up against Les Baer. Les actually shows more power with a 7.54 ET @ 184.3 mph to Jim's 7.59 @ 182.1, but Jim manages to edge Les with reaction time to reach the finals, where "new car blues" cause him to redlight. It will be interesting to see what these 2 new cars can do after they are fully dialed in. |

With dominating consistency, Joel Greathouse posts his seventh straight final round appearance, and is #1 qualifier for the sixth straight NMCA race. Jim Summers of ASSC Racing debuts his beautiful new Mustang and runs an outstanding 7.52 ET @183 mph with a ProCharger D-3M at the NMRA event at Byron Dragway, becoming the first centrifugally supercharged racer to run 7.50's at a sanctioned event. |

Ray Sanchez, the first centrifugally supercharged Chevy racer in the 7's, runs a best of 7.77 @ 184 mph in his '67 Camaro (3,200 lbs) at the J&P Shootout. Ray plows through the field to reach the finals, where engine problems prevent him from taking the win. |

ProCharged racers win both Renegade events of the weekend, with reigning 2-time champion Chip Havemann winning the Fun Ford event at Richmond, and current record holder Tommy Annunziata taking honors at the NMRA event at Maple Grove. ProCharged racers win 3 of the top 4 forced induction classes at the World Ford Challenge, with victories by Tommy Annunziata in Renegade, Chris Derrick in Outlaw, and Willie Figueroa in True Street. Tommy and Chip Havemann also put on a show with the fastest side-by-side Renegade race ever, with identical ET's and Tommy edging Chip out at the tree by only .03 seconds. Congratulations again to Chip and Tommy, and to the entire team from LaRocca's Performance for their win and record-shattering 9.25 @ 146 mph performance. |

Jim LaRocca runs a phenomenal 9.51 ET @ 143.7 mph in Renegade testing at the Fun Ford Spring Break Shootout, while his teammate Tommy Annunziata proceeds to win the Renegade class. This was the first race for both of Team LaRocca's ProCharger D-1 powered Renegade cars, and the results, not to mention the spectacular launches, speak for themselves, as Jimmy becomes the first Rengade racer to run 9.50's at a sanctioned event. Congratulations to the team from LaRocca¹s Performance for their hard work and impressive victory. In True Street class, Mark and Joe Mainiero recently switched to ProCharger, and their '95 Mustang driven by Willie Figueroa responded with a new Spring Break Shootout record of 8.47 ET @ 168.2 mph. Congratulations to the entire team at Unlimited Performance.

Congratulations to Chip Havemann, shown after receiving the ATI ProCharger '99 Street Renegade Championship Award in Ennis, Texas on October 10. Chip absolutely dominated the field in 1999, winning 10 of 15 events and the points title for the second year in a row. He was the first Renegade racer in the 9's, as well as the 9.80's and 9.70's. He was also nearly perfect against Bob Kurgan, winning 5 of 6 races against each other, with Chip's only loss coming at Dallas, with the points title already wrapped up.
