NMCA World Finals: October 9th-12th @ Memphis Motorsports Park
Memphis played host to the NMCA World Finals this season and ProCharger racer Mark Micke was there to secure ProCharger's first NMCA Pro Street Championship. Micke qualified in the no. 2 spot running in the 6.30's all weekend. Micke's 2008 NMCA Pro Street Championship came from running hard and consistent all season, winning all but three rounds in 2008. The Micke team also took the World Street Challenge 1 Pro Mod Championship in St. Louis earlier in the season.

ProCharger would like to congratulate Mark Micke, Jeff Dickey, and their crew on their outstanding 2008 performance and on earning both the 2008 NMCA Pro Street and WSC1 Pro Street Championships.
NMRA World Finals: October 2nd-5th @ Beech Bend Raceway
The points battle for Super Street Outlaw came down to the final race at Bowling Green in early October. ProCharger racers John Urist and AJ Powell battled all season for the championship. In qualifying Urist took the no. 1 spot and Powell came in at no. 2. Although Powell ran well all season, Urist came out on top by running in the low 7.40's, and securing the 2008 NMRA Super Street Outlaw Championship for the 3rd year in a row! Urist also reset the SSO record in the first round of eliminations with a 7.379 E.T., in his 93 Mustang powered by a 440 cid small block Ford with an F-3R-139 ProCharger supercharger. Race after race, both of these SSO competitors showed the consistent and reliable power of a ProCharger supercharger with their first and second place 2008 NMRA Super Street Outlaw finishes.

ProCharger would like to congratulate John Urist and his crew on their fourth NMRA Super Street Outlaw national championship, as well as their dominating performance at World Street Challenge 1.

In Real Street competition, Tim Matherly and Jim Breese took the no. 1 and no. 4 qualifying spots respectively. These two ProCharger-powered racers stole the show this season in Real Street battling against each other at every venue. Matherly, who was defending his 2007 Championship, finished this year in 2nd place, with Breese finishing 3rd in the 2008 season. Congratulations to these two hard-chargers, everyone knows that these two ProCharger racers will be in the hunt in 2009, too!

Travis Franklin, of Mansfield, TX successfully defended his 2007 Fun Ford Weekend Renegade class championship by taking top honors again in 2008. Franklin put his 10 plus years of experience to good use running consistently and leading the points race for most of the season; Franklin's performance helps illustrate the dominating power, consistency and reliability of a ProCharger supercharger.

Franklin drives a Mustang with a 440 cid small-block Ford fed by an intercooled F-2R ProCharger that produces over 1,500 horsepower. ProCharger would like to congratulate Travis Franklin and his crew on their 2008 Fun Ford Weekend Renegade championship
Outlaw Drag Radial World Championship: Oct. 24th-26th @ Bradenton Motorsports Park
At the Outlaw Radial Tire Championship in Bradenton, FL, October 25th - 26th, ProCharged racer Will Stevenson beat out more than 100 of the fastest drag radial cars in the country to take first place and the $15,000 payout for the Drag Radial Tire Class. Stevenson's awesome win marked the 10th ProCharger championship in 2008.

  Missouri State Tractor Pulling
The ProCharger powered tractor of Scott and Mike Bracken ended up with top honors this year in the Missouri State Tractor Pullers Association. The Bracken's modified Outlaw tractor runs twin-Hemi power-plants fed by two ProCharger F-3R-139 self-contained superchargers. During their 16 event season, the Brackens took home seven first place finishes, four runner-ups, and beat out 12 other pullers for the top spot in the 7200 lb. modified class. The unmatched torque and horsepower this monster produces gives new meaning to the phrase "stump-puller".

Congratulations to the Bracken brothers on their 2008 MSTPA championship!
  Fastest Drag Radial Pass
During the Shakedown at E-Town event, Dave Hinzman set a new Drag Radial record with a 1/4 mile pass of 7.18 @ 200 MPH. This is a huge accomplishment. Hinzman started the season as a nitrous car making 1,386 horsepower. He made the switch to a ProCharger supercharger and is now making more than 2,000 horsepower on the same C-16 fuel, a gain of approximately 700 horsepower! Hinzman had to add 200 lbs. of weight to the car when he made the switch and still is running nearly 6 tenths faster and gained 22 MPH.
  Pacific Street Car Association
