NMRA, National Trail Raceway Sept. 3-5

Super Street Outlaw: Three out of the top four qualifiers were Procharged powered racers. The number two spot was points leader Johnny MacDonald who ran an outstanding 7.334 @ 193 mph. In the third position was 5 times SSO champ John Urist running a strong 7.41 @ 187.69 mph, rounding out the top four was "Filthy Phil" Hines. Hines first round match up was point's leader Johnny Mac. Mac was first off the line but Phil was able to reel him in, running a 7.59 to Mac's 7.67. Unfortunately for Johnny he suffered some engine troubles that caused him to hit the wall at the big end of the track causing frontend damage to his ride. The team vowed that they would have the car repaired and ready to roll for the championship battle at the NMRA World Finals. Urist's day also ended early with engine troubles, and the Hellion crew will no doubt be ready for next month. Hines continued to march thru eliminations and found himself in the final round matched up with the significantly lighter nitrous combination of Sam Vincent. Hines again had the starting line advantage and was able to pull off his first win of the 2010 season. Congrats to Phil for a great win!

Drag Radial: Continuing the theme from Super Street Outlaw, ProCharger was also powering three out the top four qualifiers. On top was Jason Lee who ran an 8.10 @ 176 mph. Number two was Enzo Pecchini running an 8.20 @ 173mph. In the third slot was Chad Doyle. Pecchini and Lee both steam rolled their way thru the competition and again were paired up in another final round match up. Lee was first off the line and won the event with an 8.117 to Enzo's strong 8.224. Lee and the Part Time Performance team has continued to dominate this class for the last two years. With this win Jason has pretty much secured his second in a row NMRA Drag Radial championship!

Real Street: Tim Matherly's quest for a championship repeat started off great with a number qualifying time of 9.37 @ 144 mph. Teammate Jim Breese qualified fourth and MV Performance customer Dave Ginter rounded out the top five qualifiers. Unfortunately Ginter and Breese both lost their first round match ups, which left Matherly the only ProCharger supercharged car left in eliminations. Tim made it to the finals were he was matched up against nitrous racer Bruce Hemminger. Unfortunately Matherly lost in the finals, but he still has an outside chance to win the championship at the world finals with a strong performance. Good luck to Tim and the entire MV Performance team!

NHRA Unleashed at National Trail Raceway Sept. 10-11

EZ Street: Jason Lee and Chris Singleton were both in attendance with their freshly installed ProCharger F2 superchargers. Going up against big block nitrous combinations on a radial tire can be a challenge, but Jason and Chris proved that the combo to beat was the small block ProCharger F2 combination. Lee took the top qualifier running an et of 5.05 and Chris took top speed with a 147 mph blast. Singleton lost his first round match up due to track conditions and lost traction right off the line. Lee had a first round bye because of being number one qualifier and freight-trained his way to the finals. Lee's opponent was a 600+ cubic inch big block Chevy running a fogger style nitrous system. Lee with his 359 cubic inch small block Ford ProCharger F2 combo was victorious, this marks Jason's first NHRA Unleashed win along with ProCharger's first win in the Unleashed series. Congrats!

Yellow Bullet Nationals at Cecil County Dragway Sept. 3-5

275 Radial: 275 radial powerhouse team of Chris Evans and Matt Butrim made the trip to try their hand at one of the nation's largest dragraces of the 2010 year. With over 30 cars in the field and taking his F1R supercharger up against big block nitrous combinations along with small block turbo combos, they were the team to beat. Evans stunned the field with an impressive 4.95 run at over 144 mph to land the number one qualifying position. They then went thru five tuff rounds of eliminations and ran another 4.9 blast @ 144 mph for the win. This team has dominated the X 275 Radial scene with numerous final round appearances at almost every race that they have entered. From the MIR 275, Cecil County X 275, and the Ultimate Outlaws X 275 they have been to 11 finals out of 20 races! Thanks to the team for a GREAT year and good luck on winning the 2010 Ultimate Outlaws championship!

OSCA at Toronto Raceway Park Sept. 18-19

EZ Street: Noel Borg with his 420 cubic inch big block Chevy in his 3500 lb second gen Camaro continued his dominating ways. Borg qualified very strong and ran well in eliminations. With his ProCharger F2 reverse to supply the boost needed, Borg went on to win his first OSCA championship! His team has had a few late night thrashes along the way, but he never gave up as the results show. Congrats to Noel and his whole crew on a well deserved OSCA championship!

Ultimate Outlaws at Maryland International Raceway Sept. 18-19

X 275: Chris Evans and newcomer Rich Bruder made the call for this record setting field of 44 cars! Evans qualified second with a four second blast while Bruder ran in the 5.0's. The two were paired up on opposite sides of the ladder and blazed their way for a final round match up. Both fox bodied small block fords rely on ProCharger F1R supercharger power with Evans having the edge. Rich with the help of ProCharger outlaw radial standout and former NSCA champ "Mustang Mike" Modeste tap dancing on the keyboard of the lab top, the team was confident going into the finals. This race was the debut for Bruder's Mustang and he was able to take out Evans in the all ProCharger final. Rich did his part on the line as he the advantage with a great reaction time. Evans ran another 4.96 but Bruder was able to hold off the hard charging Evans with a 4.98 for the win!

ADRL at Rockingham Dragway Sept. 10-11

This event marked a major milestone for ProCharger Superchargers. Ric Fleck and his crew were able to crack the three second zone during Pro-Etreme qualifying. They were able to run 3.97 @ over 180 mph with their compound ProCharger combination. A very special thank you to Ric and his entire crew, along with Darryl Makins for all their hard work on developing this powerful combo!
