In PSCA's Wild Street racing, ProCharged brothers Jeff and Kevin Young were once again showing the field how to get it done in qualifying. The Young brothers continue to hold down the number one and two in Wild Street points after Vegas.

NMRA, Atco, NJ, May 14-16

During the NMRA's annual visit to the Garden State, numerous ProCharger racers were on hand to storm the track and the competition.

The ProCharger storm started in Real Street. Defending champion Tim Matherly qualified his ProCharger-equipped Mustang in the number one spot with a 9.50 @ 131 mph. Teammate and fellow ProCharger racer Jim Breese qualified fourth with an 11.36 @ 132 mph. In what was a warning of things to come, the Real Street title was an all ProCharger final between Matherly and Breese with Matherly taking the win. Congrats to both racers and their teams for all their hard work in the Real Street battles.

In Drag Radial action, defending champ Jason Lee found a combination of ProCharger power and traction that allowed him to qualify with an outstanding 7.89 @ 180 mph. Lee was the first racer into the 7.90s and now is the first into the 7.80s in NMRA Drag Radial competition. Fellow ProCharger racer Enzo Pecchini qualified second with an 8.06 @ 178 mph, while Andrew Barrale qualified his mod motor F-1R ProCharger combo third with an 8.08 @ 170 mph. Chad Doyle used his ProCharger power to qualify fourth with a very solid 8.25 @ 175 mph. With ProCharger-power holding down the top four qualifying positions, eliminations had the competition running for cover. Once again, it was an all ProCharger final between Lee and Pecchini. And for the second event in a row, Lee powered his way to the drag radial win.

ProCharger Super Street Outlaw is the 10.5-inch tire freak show and defending champ John Urist qualified number one with a 7.40 @ 191 mph, with fellow ProCharger racer John MacDonald grabbing the number two position with a 7.45 @ 194 mph. Powering through eliminations, it came down to yet another all-ProCharger final between Urist and MacDonald, with Urist taking the hard-fought win. Congrats to both teams and especially the Urist crew for proving that "Fireball" is still on fire for another title.

  PSCA, Fontana, CA, May 21-23

Previous Xtreme Drag Radial Champion, Al Jimenez came out and shocked the collective racing world at the Fontana PSCA event. Jimenez and his big block Chevrolet, enhanced with a ProCharger F3R-135, ran an incredible 7.32 @ 197 mph. Keep in mind, his car weighs 3,500 lbs and employs a leaf spring rear suspension. Congrats to Jimenez and his team on their outstanding performance.

Over in Wild Street racing, Jeff Young qualified number two with a 7.73, while his brother Kevin Young qualified his ProCharger-equipped Camaro in the number five spot with an 8.16.
