  NMRA: ATCO, NJ MAY 15-17


There was a lot of great ProCharger action at the NMRA event in Atco, New Jersey. Jason Lee again qualified in the number 1 spot in Drag Radial, and won his 2nd consecutive race. Jason ran in the 8.0's @ over 172 mph all weekend. Enzo Pechinni made the switch from carb to EFI and had great results. Pechinni ran in the 8.20's @ over 174 mph.

In Real Street, ProCharger racers claimed the top 3 positions. Jim Breese qualified no. 1 with a 9.62 @ 141 mph. Dave Ginter no. 2 with a 9.65 @ 143. Tim Matherly no. 3 with a 9.93 @ 142. Ginter and Matherly went at it in the finals. In the end, it was Tim Matherly with the win.

Super Street Outlaw racer, John Urist, qualified no 1 with a 7.38 @ over 192 mph. Way to go, John. And on the 10.5W scene, AJ Powell made good progress with his new ProCharged Mustang. Powell qualified with a 7.25 @ 188.36 which landed him in the no. 3 spot.

 

  OUTLAW DRAG RADIAL RACE: VALDOSTA, GA

This was the first race in a two race series for the Outlaw Drag Radial World Championship. The fastest Outlaw Radial cars on the planet are competing for the championship and record prize money. Steve Jackson qualified no. 1 and set a new Outlaw Radial World record with an amazing 4.60 @ 170 mph. This is the quickest radial 1/8th mile pass ever. Jackson made it all the way to the finals before losing.

  PSCA: FONTANA, CA MAY 15-17


At the PCSA event in sunny Fontana, California, ProCharger racer Doug Sikora qualified no. 1 in Outlaw 10.5W with an 6.94 @ 204 mph. Unfortunately, Doug had car problems in the 2nd round.

In Xtreme Drag Radial, Andre Ball qualified no.2 with a 7.86 @ 186 mph. Al Jimenez also qualified in the no. 4 spot with a 7.87 @ 182 mph. Jimenez lost in the first round and Ball went out in the 2nd.

Brothers Kevin and Jeff Young went for it in Wild Street. Kevin qualified no. 2 with a 8.15 @ 177 mph. Jeff, racing his own 3rd generation Camaro equipped with a small block Chevy and a ProCharger F-2, qualified no. 7 with an 8.33 @ 174.
