superchargers

Hot, humid and slick were the conditions facing NMCA racers during their annual visit to Maple Grove Raceway near Reading, PA. In Street Radial racing, Brad Schehr qualified his ProCharger supercharged Mustang on the pole with an outstanding 8.78 @ 156 mph. Schehr used his ProCharger consistency to advance all the way to the Street Radial finals. Leaving Maple Grove, Schehr is in first place in the points.

Making a rare NMCA appearance, Jason Lee brought his ProCharger-powered flyin' red Fox-body Mustang to Maple Grove for the weekend. Fighting both traction issues and electrical gremlins, Lee still managed to qualify fourth with an 8.13 @ 171 mph.

In the wild Super Street class, Jim Blair and his team made the long tow from central Florida. Blair qualified his ProCharger-equipped Mustang in the number 4 spot with a 7.01 @ 194 mph in the tough Maple Grove conditions. Blair is currently second in Super Street points.

In NMCA's Pro Street class, the Sullivan/Micke team brought their ProCharger F-3R equipped, HEMI powered Dodge Stratus to Maple Grove. Like the other high-powered cars, not only was the Sullivan/Micke Stratus was fighting for traction, they were also fighting some electronic issues. Regardless, the big red Dodge did manage to put down a very respectable 6.30 pass at more than 224 mph. This team and car has the power, so could they be the first ProCharger-equipped car to power into the 5s? Stay tuned...

  NMRA: June 11-12 Milan, MI

Numerous ProCharger-equipped racers were on hand for the NMRA's visit to Milian, MI. In the Pro Outlaw 10.5 class, Dwayne James qualified his beautiful ProCharged Mustang in the number four position with an 8.34 @ 193 mph. Unfortunately, a broken transmission ended his weekend early.

According to NMRA's own race summary, "ProCharger's Super Street Outlaw class is the epitome of small-tire performance in the entire drag racing world." In the hard-fought racing, Urist advanced all the way to the finals where he was bit by the red light bug.

Defending Champion, Jason Lee continues his domination in Drag Radial. At Milan, Lee qualified his ProCharger supercharged Mustang number one with a 7.94 @ 176.33 mph, while fellow ProCharged Mustang racer Chad Doyle qualified 3rd with a 7.94 @ 176 mph. Enzo Pecchini made the trip down from Canada and qualified 8th with a 8.58 @ 153 mph. When the drag radial smoke had cleared, Lee found himself in the winner's circle once again and notched his third straight NMRA event win. Congratulations to Lee, Crew Chief Patrick "Barnyard" Barnhart and the rest of the Part Time Performance team on their dominating performances in 2010.
