Coming off a dominating 2007 season of 11 national championships, ProCharger racers are at it again in 2008 with four national championships already secured. World Street Challenge 1 - Pro Street Class - Mark Micke World Street Challenge 1 - True 10.5 Class - John Urist Canadian Street Car National - Drag Radial Class - Jason Lee Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags - Jim Plimpton We're not done yet! Several other ProCharger racers are in position to take even more championships. The DynoMax Power to the Wheels tour has come to an end in Springfield, MO. After taking three of the top five spots in 2007, ProCharger power was back again this year securing two of the top five. Mark Gjavenis, a top 10 finisher in the 2007 competition and runner up at Car Craft with a pull of 1,249 RWHP, ended up in fifth place at the finals with a pull of 1,146 RWHP in his big-block '65 Chevelle. Also in the finals and taking fourth place overall was Jim Plimpton in his 1987 Ford Thunderbird powered by an F-3R supercharger. Plimpton layed down an outstanding 1,443 horsepower at the rear wheels. You may remember Plimpton from the 2008 Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags where he took top honors. Keep in mind these cars are both pump gas street cars with stock firewalls, lights and turn signals! Congratulations to these two competitors and thank you to all the ProCharger customers who participated in the 2008 Power to the Wheels tour. |

| NMRA Ford Expo: August 29th-31st @ National Trail Raceway | ||

Columbus, Ohio saw a lot of ProCharger power hit the track at the 30th annual NMRA Ford Expo in late August. The Super Street Outlaw class saw two ProCharger supercharged racers take the top two qualifying positions. AJ Powell took the pole with a 7.51 @ 187 mph and John Urist followed right behind with a 7.55 @ 186 mph. Urist, three time NMRA SSO champ, ended up in the finals where he took home the win. Drag Radial saw six ProCharged racers take half the field. Leading the pack was Jason Lee with an 8.37 @ 170 mph qualifying run and taking low ET honors for the weekend with an 8.17-second pass. Lee advanced to the finals where he took the runner-up spot. The Real Street Class saw the blue Mustang of Tim Matherly, which runs a self-contained P-1SC-2 supercharger, take the number two qualifying spot with a 9.71 @ 143 mph. Jim Breese was not far behind taking the number three spot with a 9.78 @ 138 mph. Matherly went to the finals where he left in the runner-up position. |

| NMCA Muscle Car Nationals: August 22nd-24th @ Milan Dragway | ||

It was a weekend of speed at the 2nd annual Muscle Car Nationals in Milan, Michigan August 22nd-24th. ProCharger racer Mark Micke was in attendance with his red F-3R-139 powered Camaro, taking the number two qualifying spot with a 6.41 @ 209 mph. Micke is no stranger to the finals and ended up there again where he left in the runner-up position. Currently Micke is still leading the pack and on his way to another championship. Super Street racer, and 2007 champ, Jim Blair qualified number three with a new personal best ET of 6.88 @ 200 mph. Mike Yedgarian and his ProCharger supercharged Pontiac also attended taking the number eight qualifying spot with a 7.13 @ 200 mph. Three ProCharger racers competed in the X-treme Street class taking three of the top 10 qualifying spots. Zoop Zellonois took the number four spot with an 8.15 @ 171 mph. Jason Lee and Michael Alwardt also attended, running 8.23 and 8.26 respectively. |

| Fun Ford Weekend: August 16th-17th @ New England Dragway | ||

$10,000 was up for grabs in the Renegade class at New England Dragway the weekend of August 16th, and three ProCharger supercharged racers where there to compete. Qualifying number two was Mike Trimandalis with a 7.66 @ 195 mph. Mike Modeste was not far behind taking the number three spot with a 7.76 @ 187 mph and 2007 champ Travis Franklin took the number four spot with a 7.95 @ 183 mph. Franklin and Trimindalis met in the semi-finals where Trimindalis came out on top and went on to the finals where he runnered-up the event. | |
| Canadian Street Car Nationals: August 16th-17th @ Toronto Motorsports Park | ||

ProCharger supercharger racers took the top two qualifying spots at the Canadian Street Car Nationals held in Toronto in the middle of August. Jason Lee led the Outlaw Drag Radial pack running in the 7.60's at over 180 mph all weekend. Dave Hinzman was close behind running in the 7.70's also at 180 mph in his BBC powered Mustang with an F-3R-131 supercharger. These two met in the finals where Lee came out on top taking the Canadian Street Car Nationals championship. Congratulations to Lee and his hard-working team on their CSCN Championship! | |
| Pro Mod Boat: August 19th-20th & August 23rd-24th | ||

The history making team of Dawn and Chris Singleton are at it again with their Pro Mod drag boat powered by a 572 big-block and an F-3R-139 supercharger. August 19th-20th in Augusta, GA they became the first ever centrifugal supercharged boat to make it to the final rounds. They qualified number four and ran a best time of 7.04 at 165 mph. The Singletons also had strong showing in Litchfield, IL where they ran 6.60 @ 172 mph! | |
