| NMRA Ford Nationals: April 4th - 6th @ Silver Dollar Raceway | ||
![]() |
The NMRA came to Reynolds, GA for the Ford National April 4th-6th and more than 10 ProCharger racers participated. In the Real Street class, for the second race in a row, it was again the Tim and Jim show. Jim Breese qualified in the number one spot with a 9.74 @ 139.33 mph and Tim Matherly followed in the number two spot with a 9.79 @ 140.43 mph. The teammates again met in the finals where Matherly took the win, and continued the defense of his 2007 championship, with a 9.74 @ 140.62 mph but Breese was right along side with a 9.81 @ 139.75 mph!

Drag Radial saw ProCharger racer Phil Clemmons take the number two qualifying position with an 8.37 @ 169.91 mph. Clemmons was one of the 11 national ProCharger champions in 2007 with his great performance and championship win in the Pro Street Tire class of NDRA.

Super Street Outlaw saw three of its tops five qualifying positions secured by ProCharger supercharger racers. Phil Hines took the top spot with a 7.50 @ 189 mph, AJ Powell secured the number four position with a 7.56 @ 182.13 mph and John Macdonald took number five with a personal best of 7.56 @ 183.84 mph. These top qualifiers came as no surprise when looking back on the ProCharger domination of this class over the past few years, with John Urist and his ProCharged Mustang taking the 2006 and 2007 championships.

Hamming ran a best time of 10.57 @ 135 mph with his supercharged LT1. The ProCharger events crew was also there to help out and speak with potential LTx customers about our LT1 supercharger systems. He ran in the 7.60's three times during eliminations with a best E.T. of 7.66 @ 185 mph, which was good enough to set a new ProCharger record and take the Wild Street win. | World Street Challenge 1
![]() |
May 15th marks the start of the first World Street Challenge. ProCharger racers are gearing up for the event and we are excited to see what's to come. Pro Mod racers Mark Micke and Jarod Wenrick will be there competing along with many of our other super fast supercharged racers. Be sure to watch for John Urist in the Street Outlaw class, and another ProCharged racer to watch for will be Jason Lee. Lee put on a great performance in the NDRA last year running right alongside ProCharger champion Phil Clemmons, and we are excited to see what he is able to do this year. $155,000 in prize money is up for grabs. The ProCharger events crew will also be stationed in the manufacturer's midway with our 53' rig.
| Dawn and Chris Singleton | ||
![]() |
Dawn and Chris Singleton are gearing up for another great year of drag boat action with ProCharger. They are expecting low seven second ET's from their alcohol 540 cid big block. The ProCharger F-3R is sure to get them the numbers they want. Dawn was the first woman to be licensed to race a Pro Mod boat and also was the first competitor to run a centrifugal blower setup in professional drag boat racing. After a good showing during the Singleton team's 2006 rookie year everyone is excited to see them compete in 2008.
