April 20-22, 2001 Fun Ford Weekend - Atlanta, Georgia

Doug Mangrum is winner and top qualifier with a 6.98 @ 200.2 mph, becoming the first Pro 5.0 racer to run in the 6's. Doug was also the first Pro 5.0 racer into the 7's, and now enters the 6's less than a year after switching to ProCharger, powered by the new F-3 self-contained ProCharger race supercharger. Congratulations to Doug and his crew, as well as to USA Motorsports for their support.

Mangrum completes his burnout as he prepares to make Pro 5.0 history.

Chip Havemann, Renegade legend, debuts a 347 combination.

In Renegade, Mike Freedman of the LaRocca's Performance team was the #1 qualifier with a 9.23 @ 151, and nearly broke into the 8's with a 9.06 @ 153 during eliminations. Jimmy LaRocca began shaking down his familiar silver car and made it to the quarter-finals before bowing out, while Chip Havemann also made it to the quarter-finals while dialing in his new combination. All 3 of these racers are running the new ProCharger D-1R.
