In Street Renegade class, Michael Freedman nearly breaks into the 8s with a 9.01 (and shows the power with a 157 mph pass), while the Goss brothers return to the Renegade scene in grand style with a 9.05 ET @ 153 mph. Nick Trombetta switches brands and is rewarded by immediately improving to a 9.23 ET @ 149 mph, and after getting dialed in should be running near the top of the field. Meanwhile, Jim LaRocca runs a best of 9.12 @ 150 mph before shifting his focus to helping Freedman, Trombetta and other customers. All of these racers are running the ProCharger D-1R. Congratulations to these and other Renegade racers for another oustanding season. |

In Pro 5.0 action, Doug Mangrum and Jim Summers qualify #1 and #3 at the Fun Ford event in Ennis, and Doug posts a season-best 6.76 ET @ 205 mph while claiming his third win of the season. While Doug has switched to the new F-4SC, Jim elects to stay with his F-3SC and shows the power with his own season-best performance, a 6.83 ET @ 206 mph. Meanwhile, over in NMRA competition, Don Walsh, Jr. who didnt debut his car until mid-season, joins Mangrum and Summers in the exclusive six-second zone with a 6.96 ET @ 200 mph. In the process, Donnie also takes home his second Pro 5.0 win of the season. It is simply amazing to note that, in addition to breaking into the 6s, these racers have improved blown Pro 5.0 performance by a half-second and 13 mph in the past year, and are running over a full second ahead of the best time posted by a competing supercharger. Thanks to these 3 outstanding racers for a spectacular season of record-breaking and victorious performances. |
