October 2001

Jim Vaccaro runs a 10.32 ET @ 129 mph in his 2000 GT and posts the top number in his class at the Muscle Mustangs Modular Shootout. His motor is mostly stock, with lower compression pistons, lightly ported heads, and exhaust. Fifteen psi of intercooled boost is provided by a D-1SC ProCharger with a sheet-metal 3 core intercooler. With an automatic transmission and weighing 3,690 pounds, Vaccaro cuts through the field, in the process easily defeating racers with heavily modified blown motors (other brands of superchargers) weighing over 500 pounds less, and clearly showing the dominance of Intercooled ProCharger technology. Congratulations to Jim Vaccaro and LaRocca’s Performance for a job well done.

Jim Vaccaro dominates his modular class with a 10.32 @ 129

Todd Fluman joins the Outlaw elite with a 7.92 @ 188.

In Street Outlaw, Jason Cohen becomes the first blown racer to run 7’s in NMRA competition with a spectacular 7.91 @ 178 mph, powered by a ProCharger F-3SC. Todd Fluman then proceeds to join Jason in the 7’s with an equally impressive 7.92 @ 177 mph in his extremely clean D-3R-powered rocket. In other Street Outlaw action, Tommy Trotter switches to a ProCharger D-3M and wins Fords at Englishtown with an 8.08 @ 168 mph. This is a significant improvement in power and performance for Tommy, achieved simply by switching to ProCharger. Joe Robinson also takes the win in Outlaw (for the Cordova rainout) at the season-ending Fun Ford event in Ennis, Texas with an 8.21 @ 167 mph and great driving. Back at Englishtown, Jim Briante posted a 7.47 ET @ 188 mph while preparing for Super Street competition in 2002, powered by a ProCharger F-3SC. Hats off to these individuals and their crews for these major milestones and oustanding racing.
