| DynoMax Power to the Wheels | ||
The DynoMax Power to the Wheels competition just finished its 10th stop and ProCharger powered cars have been laying down some outstanding numbers. After taking four of the top six spots in the 2007 competition, ProCharger supercharger owners are again setting big power numbers in 2008. Jim Plimpton, 2008 Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags winner, took home 1st place honors on the Hot Rod Power Tour with 1,312 rwhp in his supercharged and intercooled '88 Thunderbird. Another first place finish was at the Hot Rod Super Nationals stop in Springfield, IL where Mike Roy put down 1,202 rwhp in his small block '71 Monte Carlo with an F-2 ProCharger. The Power to the Wheels Dyno Tour still has four more stops before the Shoot Out Invitational in the middle of September and ProCharger is excited to see what other ProCharged monsters take a shot at punishing the DynoMax dyno.
| NMCA Muscle Car Nationals: June 6th-8th @ Atco Raceway | ||
It was another weekend of accomplishments and records for ProCharger racers at Atco Raceway during the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals. 18 cars showed up for the 16 car Pro Street class and ProCharger racer Mark Micke was one of them. Micke qualified second with a 6.39 @ 224 mph in his F-3R-139 powered Camaro. Powering through eliminations Micke made it to the finals where he took home the win for the event. This marks Micke's third final round appearance in the last three races! Micke also recorded the top mph for the event with 224.21 mph.
Jim Blair also made it to the event coming all the way from Florida. He took the number three qualifying position and made it to the finals where he runnered-up the event. Jim's qualifying run set a new ProCharger record with a 6.994 ET. This marks the first 6 second pass on a 10.5W ProCharger powered car.
| NMRA Ford Nationals: June 13th-15th @ Milan Dragway | ||
The NMRA Super Street Outlaw class is no stranger to ProCharger and that was reconfirmed when ProCharger supercharged racers took three of the top four qualifying positions. Leading the way was AJ Powell taking the number two spot with a 7.51 @ 185 mph. John Urist was right behind in the number three qualifying position with a run of 7.56 @ 188 mph. The number four slot was occupied by Phil Hines with a 7.57 @ 189 mph. and ProCharger racer Johnny Macdonald also made it to the event and took the number seven position with a 7.62 @ 184 mph. At the end of the day it was two ProCharger supercharged cars in the finals; Powell and MacDonald. At the finish line Powel came out on top and left with the win and as the series points leader.
Even though the Drag Radial class rules are stacked against ProCharger powered vehicles, six ProCharger supercharged racers participated in the 13 car field. After a year long break Trace Meyer qualified in the number three position with an 8.36 @ 165 mph. Also on hand was the father-son team of Doug and Pete Johnson. Pete qualified number seven while his Father took the number nine spot.
The Real Street class saw Tim Matherly and Jim Breese again put down some great passes in their ProCharger supercharged Mustangs. Matherly qualified on top with a 9.73 @ 140 mph, but his teammate Breese wasn't far behind taking the number three spot with a 9.80 @ 139 mph. Matherly rocked through eliminations and ended up in the finals where he took runner-up honors for the event.
| Fun Ford Weekend: June 20th-22nd @ Virginia Motorsports Park | ||
2007 Renegade champ Travis Franklin qualified in the top position with a 7.66 @ over 180 mph at the Fun Ford Weekend in Virginia. Franklin then went on to the finals where he went home with the runner-up spot. Franklin is still in the points lead for the series and well on his way to adding another championship to his record!
| ADRL Summer Drags: June 6th-7th @ Knoll Gas Motorsports Park | ||
Jarod Wenrick took the Pro-Nitrous Class number 12 qualifying position with a run of 4.10 @ over 170 mph in Martin, MI at the fourth annual ADRL Summer Drags June 6th-7th. This is the second time Wenrick has qualified in the Pro-Nitrous Class and sparked the ADRL to create a specific class for centrifugal superchargers vs. turbos. ProCharger is the only centrifugal supercharger that has qualified in the ADRL and this clearly states how much power ProCharger makes versus all other brands of centrifugal superchargers.
| Pro Mod Boat: June 21st-22nd @ St. Louis, MO | ||
Dawn & Chris Singleton are back in action this year with their ProCharger supercharger powered Pro Mod drag boat. The Singleton's rookie year in 2006 debuted the first woman driver and first centrifugal supercharger this class had even seen. The 572 BBC runs the famed F-3R ProCharger and even in 2008 is still the only centrifugal in the class. The Singleton team used this race to dial in their new combination and hope for a great showing at the next event.

From Little Rock, Arkansas to Madison, Wisconsin, the ProCharger crew again hit the highways to be a part of the 2008 Hot Rod Power Tour. Easily considered to be one of the best automotive tours in the country, this weeklong rolling road show is a great way to meet up with fellow performance enthusiasts and ProCharger owners from all across the country. The ProCharger "Big Rig" was on hand at Springfield, MO; Topeka, KS; Lincoln, NE; and Ames, IA; and at each of these locations, was joined by a host of ProCharger-equipped vehicles - 17 of them at the Topeka stop alone! From C6 Corvettes to late-model Dodge Hemi Chargers to some incredible carb Chevy installations, ProCharger owners "show and go" with the best of them! Power Tour marked the public debut of two new ProCharger systems: the 6.1L Hemi Charger system that puts down 500 HP to the rear wheels and a complete system for 1999 and newer, carburetor-equipped Harley-Davidson bikes. We even rode our carbureted and ProCharged 2004 H-D Street Glide on several Power Tour segments. It's always great to get out and enjoy our ProCharger supercharged and intercooled rides and even better when we get to meet up with so many loyal customers and ProCharger fans along the way. Thank you for stopping by the ProCharger display and we hope to see you out enjoying your ProCharger power at future events. |
